What Size Computer Chair Do You Need
When determining what size computer chair you need, you must first consider how tall your desk is. This guide on extra tall office desks will help you determine what size desk you need. If you already have a relatively tall desk, then you can skip that guide.
The next important measurement is how high the chair extends. Depending on your leg length and height you could need a chair with a height extension of 18 inches or more. If you are 6 feet or less, a height of 18 inches will be on par. Down below you will find office chairs that have seat heights of up to 26 inches.
The depth of the seat is also an important measurement. If you have a shallow depth, then your legs are not going to be properly supported which can lead to further injuries/conditions forming. Again, depending on your leg length, a chair with more than 17 inches is required if you are over 6 foot and want an ergonomic sitting environment.
The armrests height are only important if you don’t use the desk as support and if you are a big and tall person as they can get in the way without being able to be adjusted.
Must-Have A Tall Backrest?
Lastly the backrest and or headrest. While many of us lean forward in our chairs, this is not the most healthy position for your spine. So you should be looking at a chair that not only supports your back, and shoulders, but also your neck and back of the head.
In terms of the height of the backrest, you are looking at anywhere over 28 inches tall. Gaming chairs typically have taller backrests that offer good neck and shoulder support but can lack adjustment options.
The alternative solution to a computer chair is the trending office balance ball chairs. While I don’t 100% recommend them for 8 hour days, they do make a good substitute for sections of the workday when you want to get some exercise in behind the desk.
It’s not every day you manage to find both an ergonomic chair and one with a seat height actually suitable for a tall person. Fortunately, I did and it’s the ‘Tall’ Ergominic option by PlushCore, available on AtomicBuys here.
To begin with, it has a very tall seat height of 25-inches (min 20-inches) and in combination with the high backrest (23.6″), it could possibly be the best office chair for a tall person currently on the market.
It’s Made To Fit
What I love about this chair is the ergonomics behind the design. Most chairs these days come with some form of lumbar support as looking after the lower back is critical if you work in the office all day.
However, PlushCore has implemented a technology called the Dynamic Response Lumbar System. This means that the lumbar region reacts to your movements in the chair.
So if you move forward, backward or lean over to grab a cup of coffee, the lumbar pivots to your movements. This provides you with constant back support regardless of what you are doing.
I read in one of the reviews that a customer said it ‘forced them to sit correctly’ and that at first, it felt uncomfortable. This is because most of us are used to sitting in a sloppy manner and when we straighten up into the correct posture, it feels weird and uncomfortable until our body starts to adapt to the correct sitting posture.
Features A Headrest & Adjustable Armrests
Most of us taller people look for an office chair with a headrest as it provides some sort of support for our necks rather than not having any support at all. But to have a chair with a tall backrest and a headrest is just phenomenal. Great addition to the chair, and its height adjustable.
The armrests are also adjustable which is another key feature for a tall person, especially if you rely on armrests for your tasks behind the computer.
Other Features Include:
- Tilt & lock recline (90-120 degrees)
- Tilt seat
- The backrest is made from mesh so it breathes very well, especially important in the hotter months.
- The seat is padded with a mesh fabric rather than bonded leather, so it won’t peel away on you in 6 months.
- It has a decent weight capacity of 300 pounds, so most users should feel comfortable in the larger seat.
- Overall, it’s a very good buy, especially at this price. When it’s available, I highly suggest you check it out. I have seen other ‘ergonomic’ office chairs retail for double or triple the price of this model.
Alternative 25″ Seat Height Office Chair
Any tall person will tell you just how hard it is to find, practically anything in their size. Which is why I really like this Space Seating office chair. It’s been designed with taller people in mind. A nice change of pace if you ask me.
A big part of this is the maximum seat height. The seat height is a big deciding factor for us tall people. They went with the clever choice by allowing this chair to have a maximum seat height of 25 inches.
This will allow you more legroom, which is something we taller folk desperately need. Cramped up legs and knees hitting your chin is not exactly ergonomic, to say the least. So this is something that really makes this chair an easy recommendation, in my opinion. With reviews of people who are 6’6″ tall being able to use this chair comfortably.
Comfort & Support
Comfort is a big part of this chair. The cushion isn’t just stuffed with as much as possible, nor is it underfilled. Thankfully they put in a really good amount that will last a good long while not being as stiff as aboard.
Back pain and support can be hard to find in an office chair. While this one doesn’t have adjustable lumbar support, the support it does have is of really good quality. Which makes a difference for those who work behind the desk for long hours every day.
Adjustable Arm Height – Yes Please!
I really like that the armrests are adjustable. This allows you to move them up and down, to find a height that suits you. The lowest you can set them is roughly 6 inches and a maximum of 9 inches. This is from the top of the seat to the top of the armrest.
Seat width can be an issue for some people, another reason being big and tall isn’t easy! This seat has a seat width of 21 inches, but the area between the rests are roughly 18 inches. A decent amount of room in my opinion.
Sitting in a chair for an extended period of time is not recommended. But often so many times it’s unavoidable. This chair does make this a lot more bearable, with a lot of people spending their workdays in it. Without the normal issues, you’d face in this situation.
The weight capacity is on the lower side in my opinion. With it only being about 250 lbs. This will rule out a few people with this chair, which is disappointing as it’s such a good chair. It could have used an extra 100 lbs for its limit, which in my opinion would have made it the best office chair for tall person hands down.
Apart from the lower weight capacity, there is one other small issue for some people. A headrest is essential for some people, sadly this chair doesn’t come with one. There also isn’t any available for it, so if you’re looking for a chair with a headrest option. I’d suggest one of the others on this list.
Tho don’t let that take away from this chair, it’s a small downside on an incredible chair. That’ll help a lot of tall folks out. I rarely use a headrest and when I do it’s usually just for stretching out and relaxing for a minute before getting back to work.
This big and tall office chair by PlushCore™ doesn’t have the tallest seat height on the list, but it has some pretty impressive features I think just about everyone could appreciate.
But first, let’s take a look at the stats that relate to the tall user:
- 23-inch maximum seat height (minimum 20-inches)
- 29-inch backrest with a shoulder width of 20.5″. With a base width of 23-inches
- 23-inch wide seat with a 22.5-inch depth
- 400 Pound weight capacity
Chair Functionality Features
What makes this a good option for the big and tall people is the obvious oversize nature and weight capacity of the chair. But for such a big chair, it has some pretty special adjustment features.
The PlushCore has not only the ability to recline to 120 degrees, but it also has the rocking feature that many higher-rated chairs lack. Rocking slightly in my chair while working is something I truly value so I am glad it’s available on this chair.
Includes a Massage Function
Unlike the other chairs listed on this page, the PlushCore features 6 x vibrational massaging heads. These heads are located in both the backrest and the seat. While they will never resemble the real hands of a human, it’s a nice feature to have when working 8-10 hours per day behind the desk.
There are 5 massage options you can choose from along with 2 intensity levels. The massage is controlled with the included remote which can be stored away in the attached pocket so you don’t lose it.
It’s a Tough One To Beat At 6’4″ Tall
Overall, it’s hard to pass up on the 400LB PlushCore office chair based on its dimensions and features. if you’re a big person, you’ll love the additional overlay of padding on both the set and the backrest. This really gives your body the support it needs.
Due to the measurements on this chair, shorter folks miss out. But people over 6 feet are in for a treat. I would think based on the measurements, 6’4 to 6’5″ tall is the ideal height.
Extra Tall Executive Office Chair 24″
As I have previously mentioned, one of the most important things to consider when buying an office chair is just how high the seat can be raised. Since this will give you more legroom, without them being cramped. This is crucial to me, which why I really like this Smugdesk heavy-duty compute chair.
With this chair, you will get 24 inches from floor to seat. Which is a good amount of room. If you’re taller than 6’1″ this chair could very well be a candidate for you.
For some of us heavier people who need a bit more weight support, this chair has a 300lbs weight capacity. Which are between 50 and 80 pounds chairs stronger than your typical chair. It provides you with a nice level of reassurance when sitting in the chair.
Tall & Wide Backrest
The SmugDesk executive chair has a reasonably tall backrest which is also wide. The back itself is 24.4 inches high, and 22.4 inches wide. This combined with the comfortable lumbar support makes this really good on your back.
The chair cushion is extremely comfortable and made of cotton. Which is a great material for a cushion, since cotton breathes really well. It’s a relatively thick seat which will help keep it comfortable for a long time.
Customization is a big part of these chairs’ appeal in my opinion. If you want it to have more of a tilt you can, if you want to raise the armrests you can. This gives it a lot of versatility, and let’s almost anyone find a setting right for them.
Having adjustable armrests is a really useful feature. Which is something I implore more companies to have in the future. The armrests themselves are comfortable to rest on, after extended periods of use.
Being able to tilt in a chair is almost something that I think most chairs should have. Which this chair has, but it also includes a tilt lock. So you can get it into a comfy position, then lock it there.
While it’s only a small thing, it’s an often-overlooked thing. Which is just how good the wheels are when moving. They glide really easily over practically any surface. Again this is only a small thing to some, but a nice quality of life feature to me.
Assembly is one of those things that can be a major annoyance. Thankfully that isn’t the case with this chair. The instructions are clear, and they provide all the tools needed. The skill level will affect how long it takes you to put it together. Tho you can have it put together for you, but at an extra cost of course.
The noise of a chair is something most don’t consider when purchasing. It’s something that can be a deal-breaker for some. For those who do late-night sessions, and don’t want to wake up the house or work in an office with many other workers. Fortunately, the Smugdesk is relatively quiet compared to many other chairs out there.
Sadly it doesn’t come with a headrest or, and head pillow. Which depending on who you are, this might not be an issue for you. But it’s something I would have liked them to include, but that’s just a personal preference. Certainly not a deal-breaker.
The Best Ergonomic Tall Persons Office Chair
When the description of the chair states that it is recommended for people over 6’2″ tall, you know you’re onto a winner. If you have ever searched for office chairs in the past, you would know that one of the most popular and top-rated ergonomic office chairs for big and tall people is the Aeron C Size by Herman Miller.
This chair is a beast of a chair and can hold tall people up to the weight of 300 lbs. It’s highly adjustable and can even come with a headrest to suit people 7 foot tall. The headrest is sold separately on amazon.
The only downside to the Aeron chair is that it is not cheap. It’s a high-quality chair designed to be used every day in the office. So if you don’t need/want a high-end office chair, look further down the page for more affordable options.
Why The Aeron C Size Is Good For Tall People
So the Aeron comes with a 12-year warranty, even when you buy it from amazon. Which is quite an appealing factor. So it gives you the confidence to spend a little more and get top of the range. But what about dimensions, is the Aeron suitable for your height?.
To make life super easy, Herman Miller has a size chart that will help you determine if the ‘C’ size is right for you. You can see the size chart here.
But for some pure stats, here is what the Aeron C Offers:
- Seat height adjustable from 16″ to 21″
- Seat Depth is 18.5″
- Width is 28.25″
- Total chair height is 43″.
The Bottom Line
Herman Miller has been making unique and different office chairs since the 1980s. Over time they keep improving and improving their chairs to make sure they fit people of all sizes. Including tall people for once. This is a company that cares about its consumer. They want the best possible support for each and every person that buys one. Which is why they offer such a generous warranty.
This particular Aeron chair has been hugely popular for all kinds of people over the years. Which is why I have no hesitation recommending it as one of the best options for a taller person.
There’s so much to this chair and it is very involved in offering personal custom support. This model comes with adjustable lumbar support, unique mesh patented pellicle textile which offers breath-ability and flexibility in the seat, graphite base, adjustable tilting options, and armrests that adjust like no other.
High Back Office Chair With Headrest
The ErgoHuman high back office chair with headrest is a hugely popular choice for tall people that want a custom fitting chair. It’s become increasingly popular over the last 10 plus years, and for very good reason.
In the last 5 years, the ErgoHuman has undergone modifications to make it even better. While not changing the core principles that made this chair one of the most sort after pieces of office furniture.
The important elements for a tall person are aplenty on the ErgoHuman. Starting with the headrest.
The Headrest Is Phenomenal
There’s nothing worse than a headrest that’s too short for a tall person if makes it nonapplicable and often more uncomfortable. With the ErgoHuman the headrest is height adjustable so you can actually comfortably rest the back of your neck and head-on.
The headrest also pivots by twisting it forwards or backward. This allows you to custom fit the shape of your neck to the headrest. Offering you unmatched support and comfort.
But what’s also incredible about this computer chair is that the backrest is also height adjustable. The entire backrest can be positioned in 4 heights. This allows you to once again custom fit the dynamic lumbar support exactly where you need it. There’s no guessing with the ErgoHuman, you can make it suit your needs. That’s probably what I love best about this chair.
It’s Got Tall People Written All Over It!
Another truly awesome feature is the depth adjustable armrests and seat. When you have longer legs, you need to have support under your legs. Most chairs are inadequate for longer legs.
With the ErgoHuman, you can actually slide the seat forwards separately from the backrest. What this does is creates a greater depth so you have more support where it is needed.
This is done by sliding the lever on the right forward, then while seating on the chair you just slide your backside forward and the seat can lock into position.
Flicking the switch backward allows the backrest to be reclined. From there you push you back backward until you find a position you’re comfortable with. Then flick the switch forward to lock it into position. This chair also has a built-in safety mechanism so that the backrest doesn’t fling back up and hit you either. It stays in the locked position until it has pressure applied (your body) and then the backrest can be moved back to normal position.
The chair also has a tension knob. What this does is allows you to recline with less or greater resistance. Great for people that don’t want the backrest reclining every time you move.
The Stats You Need To Know:
- Seat height can be adjusted from 18.5″ to 22.2″. Great for taller folks with longer legs
- Seat depth is 18.5″ but can be adjusted to become deeper using the handle on the right side.
- Backrest height is an impressive 28 inches.
Overall the ErgoHuman is one of the best office chairs on the market. It’s been proven for many years now and after a few modifications to make the chair even sleeker, it’s still a powerhouse in the market. A quality design with ergonomics in mind without having to pay 4 figures for it. Highly recommended.
Ticova Ergonomic Adjustable Office Chair With Headrest 23.6″ Seat Height
Office chairs that allow you to customize their positions are arguably some of the best on the market in my opinion. Having the ability to move the backrest into a more comfortable position adds tremendous value. Since you will be in a chair for extended periods, these features are important.
The adjustable back does make this chair really good for those with back problems. It has good lumbar support, and being able to adjust it to your needs is a big plus.
Like most office chairs for tall people, you require the seat to go to a decent height. Thankfully this office chair does that by going to a maximum seat height of 23.6 inches. This allows most tall people the required legroom that they need.
Adjustable Headrest Is A Rare But Brilliant Feature
One of the features that are really good with this chair is the headrest is adjustable. It’s able to go 45 degrees forward, which is useful for those who lean a bit more forward. So this feature is really great in my eyes, and more chairs need it.
But to me, it’s how you can raise the headrest by 4.3 inches in height. This is great for people who have a longer torso. There are a great number of people who struggle to find an office chair with a headrest that meets their requirements. Having this extra 4.3 inches will help with that issue for a lot of people.
The armrests continue the customizable trend. Not only can you raise them up and down by 2.8 inches. You can also move them forwards and backward. This isn’t all tho, you can angle them left and right. This allows you to put them into a comfortable angle, for when you’re typing.
Breathable Mesh Is The Best
Most people spend a long time at their computer desks with their office chairs. As you’ll most likely know, these can get extremely hot, and make you sweat. This is why this chair is made out of a mesh, instead of a bonded leather. This allows it to breath for when you’re using it for a long time, especially helpful if you don’t have air conditioning.
This makes it one of the most comfortable chairs to use during the hotter months. It makes handling summer a lot easier when you’re forced to spend 8 plus hours a day at a desk. This small quality of life improvement makes a massive difference in my opinion.
While it has a decent weight capacity, it could afford to be a bit higher for some of our larger people. Its max weight capacity is 280lbs, which will suit most people. It would just be a bit more universal if it had a 300 or even 350lbs weight limit in my opinion.
Assembly of the chair is fairly simple and easy to do. I’d recommend having an open space for you to assemble it. One thing that has come up a few times is the armrests feel short. This is often caused by people putting them on the wrong side. The easy fix is to swap them around.
Extra Tall Backrest Office Chair
Serta has made a very stylish and comfortable office chair. It’s one of the nicest looking chairs on the market, in my opinion. It also comes in 5 different colors, so if one doesn’t suit you, another will. This is a small thing, but it’s often overlooked since it’s an office chair.
The maximum height of the seat is an important question to ask for us tall people. This chair has a maximum seat height of 23.25 inches, which is a decent height. Not the best, but it’s a good height for a lot of tall people who are 6 feet tall.
What sets this chair apart from a lot of others is the 25″ tall back support. The lumbar support is really good and does help with your posture. While there might be some downsides to this chair, it’s not here. The back support of this chair is what’s amazing about this chair.
Sitting in the chair can be a bit snug for some people. The inside of the chair is roughly 19 inches wide. It’s slightly less at the top of the armrest tho. The depth of the seat is 19.5 inches which gives a decent amount of room, for all but the tallest of individuals.
Well Padded Chair
The cushioning of the chair is really comfortable and does keep it’s shape fairly well over long periods of use. This is really effective in the slightly elevated headrest. It makes it really comfortable on your head and neck.
One of the nicest touches on this office chair is the armrests themselves. While you can’t adjust them, they’re still extremely comfortable. The way they’re angled and designed is the next best option outside of them being adjustable.
The wheels do pop in really easy when you’re setting up the chair. This is something small, but if you’ve ever set up an office chair before, you will know how annoying this can be. The wheels also roll really well over most surfaces. If you have a wood floor I’d recommend using a rug still to prevent any marks from being left behind.
Has To Have Arms
Since the arms of the chair attach to the back of the chair. You can’t assembly this chair without the armrests. I’ve seen this question a lot, so if you don’t want armrests. I’d advise looking at another chair.
If you’re on the heavier side then this chair may not be for you. It has a weight capacity of 250lbs, which is pretty standard for most chairs. So if you’re heaver I’d recommend a different chair, even if you’re only slightly under. I’d still go with something that has a 300lbs plus capacity.
Sadly it does lack some of the customizations that some other chairs have. You’re unable to adjust certain things that do hurt this chair a little. Being unable to adjust the back, and arms do make it harder to be comfortable for some. Since if they were adjustable, you can just set them to your preference.
Office Chairs For Tall People With Lumbar Support
In particular this Hercules 500 pound capacity LeatherSoft chair. While I don’t particularly love the idea of bonded leather, the LeatherSoft is a high-end version of the cheaper bonded leathers available. Not everyone can afford a genuine leather chair, so at this price, I can’t really complain.
But what’s different about this chair is that it is not 100% LeatherSoft material. Around the edges is a padded mesh trim. This means the chair can breathe better while also keeping you slightly cooler as air can flow between the layers of material.
I’ve also found over the years that bonded leather doesn’t last as long as genuine leather. Hence the more affordable price tag. But I’ve also found that it starts deteriorating around the edges of the backrest and arms the most. What’s good about this chair is that the mesh material covers these areas. So there’s a good chance the leather won’t adhere to as much wear and tear.
Built-in Lumbar Support & Height Adjustable Headrest
For many big and tall people, low to mid back pain is a daily occurrence. So some form of lumbar support is essential. With this Hercules, the lumbar padding is built into the chair to provide the ergonomic position required to alleviate pain and tension.
For the taller people, in particular, this is one of the rare big and tall office chairs with a height-adjustable headrest. So you can weigh up to 500 pounds and be over 6’3″ and still find support and comfort from this chair in my opinion.
The chair when raised measures a very tall 51 inches. When you extend the headrest you get even more height and a good supportive headrest for the back of the neck. Having the support on the upper half of your back also helps to relieve discomfort on the lower back. So it’s a well-rounded chair for back support.
- Seat height adjusts from 21.5″ to 24″ which is up there with the tallest office chairs I have come across.
- Decent 20.5″ seat depth with a width of 22 inches.
- The backrest including the headrest is a total of 30.5″ tall.
- Impressive 500-pound weight capacity.
- Very affordable compared to some other big & tall computer chairs. See the exact price on amazon.
Unique Mesh High Back Office Chair For Tall Persons
If you don’t like the idea, or the look of the extendable headrest chairs above, this unique chair by Kadirya may be a good choice. Measuring almost 50 inches tall, the LCH-2001U boasts a very tall backrest of 31.9″. What’s unique about this chair is that it is considerably lightweight and has a PU leather and mesh body.
The large mesh portion of the chair is in the backrest to allow air to circulate to the main area of the body where sweat builds up. This is a great idea while the padded leather areas offer comfort for long hours behind the desk.
Because of the design of the chair, the backrest does feel ‘less stable’ as in you can push back on it like you were bending it. This is not a design flaw, as it has only a 250 lb capacity rating, but is intended to provide airflow while keeping the chair lightweight.
So you can rock back in the chair, tilt it and lock it so it stays in the same position. The chair is designed with low back lumbar support. With the detachable padded headrest, the chair resembles the natural flow of the human spine. So quite a supportive office chair, just not intended for heavy-duty use in my opinion.
The Height Adjustments
The Kadirya high back mesh office chair has some decent height adjustment options. Firstly, with the headrest, it has a total height of 49.1″ and a minimum height of 46.1″. As a tall person, I would always leave this padded rest on as it contours nicely to the back of the neck providing optimal support for the back.
The seat can be raised from 17.7″ in height to 21.7″ high. Which is extra tall compared to standard heights for office chairs. The T shape armrests can also be raised just over 3 inches to match your extra height.
Overall I quite like this chair. It’s stylish yet ergonomic. The shape of the backrest with the lumbar support and headrest are really musts for any tall person. The best part is, it’s not an expensive chair. So buying a couple for around the office is not out of the question.
Extended Height Office Chairs
While this chair by Younbo does look futuristic and out of a sci-fi movie, don’t let the look of this office chair fool you. It’s got a surprising amount of durability and comfort to it. It does this while also having a certain style, that still looks professional. It does have a fair bit of customization about it as well, which does add to it as well.
Its ergonomic design is impressive, and helps with your posture. This is thanks to the unusual design of the backrest of the chair. It goes with the curve of your spine, to help you sit up better.
With a maximum seat height of 22 inches, does make it great for above-average height persons. This is due to the all-important amount of legroom you get with it. While not the highest on this list, it’s still good for most people who are over 6 feet tall.
You may look at the seat of this chair and think it’s too thin to be comfortable. This isn’t the case it’s a very comfortable chair, that holds its shape for a good long while. It could use a bit more padding for some of us heavier folks in my opinion.
Spending extended periods of time at a computer desk is extremely common nowadays. So sitting for long periods of time can be a problem for some chairs. That’s not the case for this chair. It’s still comfortable for long periods of consistent sitting I have found.
The weight capacity of this chair is on the higher side compared to others in this price range. With an impressive 450 lbs weight capacity. While this is a great feature, the lack of cushioning for some heavier people will be an issue. But having such a high capacity does give you peace of mind.
It does have a 30-degree chair tilt, which does add to comfort levels. So it’s a good chair for work, and relaxing. When you combine this with its adjustable headrest. It does make a big difference. Being able to angle it just right makes for a comfortable experience.
However, It Has Firm Armrests
The armrests are very firm, so they’re a little uncomfortable. This is something that you could get some cushions for which would help tremendously. For some people, this won’t be that big of an issue, but for others, it can be a big problem.
Sadly the seat isn’t as deep as it could be. With the total being just 18.9 inches, but that’s to the back of the chair itself. Not the back of the seat, so the seat is less sadly. It would be closer to roughly 18 inches at most. This could be an issue for some people, but not a deal-breaker.
Assembly is fairly easy, and not difficult to do. It generally only takes 30 minutes for most people. This could be improved upon if the instructions were a little better. This is a little frustrating, but commonsense should be able to get you through it. It also does come with some extra bolts, which is a nice touch.
Extra Tall Office Chair Recliner With Footrest
So this chair is not going to be for everyone, but I couldn’t mention it. It’s a napping office chair for tall people and if you are in the position to take a nap behind the desk, this is for you. I am in no way encouraging you to take naps while you are at work when your boss is paying you. Are we clear on that?. But heck, a quick 10 minutes here and there never hurt anyone right?.
Again this chair comes to us from Kadirya and it is the chair with the best tall person height requirements. There were a couple reclining office chairs in the race, but the Kadirya came through with the goods.
There was another good size mesh napping chair, but I personally prefer to have the benefits of padding under my body if I’m going to have a cheeky 10-minute nap behind the desk. Mesh is great for when working, but padding wins for sleep every day of the week.
The Dimensions Of The Kadirya Napping Office Chair
Do note that when taking a nap on an office chair, don’t expect the chair to be the same dimensions as a king-size bed. Do also note that your feet may dangle at the end of the footrest if you are 7 feet tall!.
- Adjustable seat height between 19.3″ and 22.2″.
- Maximum chair height 47.8″.
- The seat depth of 20.5″ when in the sitting position.
- 150° angle for taking a quick nap.
- Backrest measures 28.9″ when sitting.
- The width of the seat at the front is 21.3″.
Do You Need A Reclining Office Chair
The napping chair or office chair that reclines so you can sleep on is not a necessity. But because the chair looks just like your average high back office chair, why not have the option to recline back and pull out the footrests?.
It’s a decent office chair with some quality finishes and features. Having the ability to nap on demand is certainly useful. But should you never feel the urge to take a power nap, the chair works fine as a standalone office chair?
The heights and size dimensions are suitable for someone over 6 foot and the padding is spot on. With lumbar support and the ability to tilt and recline, this chair stands and delivers.
Office Chair With 26″ High Seat
There is a new king in town for office chairs for tall people. This Flash Furniture chair has been designed for big people. Who struggle to find something to suit their size, which is difficult in this day and age.
The thing that really sets this chair apart from others, and makes it for tall people. Is the maximum seat height of 24 inches to 26 inches.
This is important for tall people since it gives you more legroom. So you’re not cramped up, which can damage the circulation in your legs. Do note there is conflicting information about the seat height of this chair.
Also, this is a drafting chair, so it has a large 28″ adjustable footrest and is predominately used for architects and standing desks. However tall people need taller drafting chairs that go above and beyond 30-inch seat heights.
Ideal For The Big & Tall Persons
Weight capacity can be an issue for some of us bigger people. So I was happy to see this has a 400 lb weight capacity. This gives it that extra added be of security when you’re a bit bigger, and sit on it.
The tilt device is really useful and a must for most chairs in my opinion. This gives you the ability to recline, which will help stretch out your back if you need to. This is something that I personally really like.
It does have the option to come without the armrests, for people who don’t like armrests. I know not everyone likes them, so having the option is a nice bit of value.
Some people have opted to not install the foot ring. Which is a good idea if you find it gets in the way. Some people may not like this, which is fine. I just find it a nice and easy solution to having some more legroom when used as a regular office chair.
